nintendo shouldve stopped making creatures after they made ninji. like, you got it in one! you did it! you designed the perfect lifeform. theres no point in making any more. you just should make a game entirely based around these now!

i decided to do a ninji sprite looking at the jamboree art, then realized it was really close to the original smb2 sprite by coincidence! so i tried to combine the best elements of the two.
in summation: 1 is nintendo's sprite, 2 is my first draft not looking at nintendo's sprite, 3 is 2+1, 4 is ඞ

Sometimes I see ppl outside the field comparing shows animation and I wish I could go on an hour rant on how the end product is SO DEPENDENT on a pipeline, and sometimes crappy pipelines are forced upon you to by studios, sometimes you’re reinventing one through trial and error..

To keep going with the theme of "screw Adobe", the last thumbnail I made was made in Affinity Designer 2! To me, it's perfectly capable of doing everything Photoshop can do, and then some.
It can even open PSD files! Meaning migrating over with your previous templates is a breeze!
