You should basically treat any messenger you use as plaintext (probably even Signal). Obviously the implications of this suck massively. I can’t give you good advice regarding dealing with those.

You don't even remember what you were doing, all you can focus on is that comforting presence around you, holding you, guiding you. In and out. Up and down. The outside world just disappears, it's just you and those coils. With one final, firm squeeze, any thought left in your head is extinguished.
mostlysilent.hexgen.systems
They squeeze with a deliberate rhythm, relaxing to let you get a breath in, then squeezing tight and forcing the air back out of your lungs. In and out, over and over. You sink into that tail, your body relaxing, completely at the mercy of those coils. In and out. Up and down. Again and again.
mostlysilent.hexgen.systems
Thick, scaly coils wrap around your body, squeezing you tight. You should squirm, fight, try to escape, but you can feel the strength beneath those scales. Even if you tried to break free, those coils would tighten and crush you. So you relax, feeling the weight of those heavy coils on your body.

I bought their Q6 Max as a barebones kit and installed Gateron Yellow switches with custom keycaps. It has an aluminum frame and feels super robust. They also make slim keyboards, but that's not really my preferred style so I don't know a whole lot about them.

I would personally recommend Keychron. They make a pretty wide variety of styles and they're relatively affordable, along with having warehouses in Canada. They're easy to program as well, any of them with QMK are worth it.

Thank you for reminding me to try and stop by there! I'm going to be in Washington at the end of the month and it would be really cool to see where the tech I have to work with now came from.

We currently have three unique classes of Enhanced Employees: Data, Security, and Pleasure. EEs do report to their superiors, typically department heads or designated controllers.

As for creatives within HexGen, there's always room for new ideas! Producing VR experiences requires a lot of minds.

We take our best, our most devoted employees, and turn them into a more perfect version of themselves. The process is voluntary, with a robust contract that even accounts for the safety of our employees. Through this system, we ensure that not just the company improves, but all of us here.

A lot of people seem to believe that HexGen is just another faceless corporation, taking everyday people and forcing them into corporate subservience. Of course, that isn't the truth. Our Enhanced Employees are the best and brightest of HexGen, hand-chosen for the process.

I might as well post these here too, some fun little technical documents I made for HexGen's Enhanced Employees. They serve a myriad of purposes within the company, from data collection and processing to security and even staffing at clubs.

Here's another little piece that I haven't really shown off before. A little gift art that @neondreamzart.bsky.social made of themselves in HexGen's most recent EE design on a magazine cover showing the company's lighter side. We are a pleasure company after all.
A magazine cover with an anthropomorphic red panda standing in the center wearing a skin tight, full body uniform with a visor over their eyes. Around them are several text boxes that read: "Edge of Tek HexGen Spotlight. A Drink, Sir? HexGen's Enhanced Employees, the best service in Cradle? Paradise Found. Speculation on HexGen's newest resort. What Makes a Good Clug? Insights into Tessellation, New Haven's most popular club. On Top of the World. An exclusive review of The View.

HexGen runs a pretty clean game, but sometimes in extreme circumstances, an extreme reaction is required. Corporate thieves must be dealt with accordingly.

An awesome piece from @hyenaface.bsky.social that I'm only just getting around to posting here myself.
An anthropomorphic dragon, lion, and sergal stand around a lizard at the center of the image. The lizard is standing, supported by tendrils of goo coming from his back that are pushing into the back of the other character's heads. There are two text bubbles above the lizard that read: "Apologies gentlemen, but you've arrived too late to stop me, not that there was any chance of that. You are, however, just in time for new employee orientation! You'll make wonderful additions to the company, once I get you in proper uniforms of course." The anthropomorphic dragon, lion, and sergal from the previous image are standing in the center of the picture, wearing full body uniforms with visors covering their eyes. The lizard watches them on a screen behind the three. All three characters have text boxes above their heads that all read: "To perfect the self. To better the company. I serve and obey."

Even HexGen's Enhanced Employees need breaks. Here's a rarely seen D-Class EE, taking a well-deserved break after a day of testing.

Do NOT believe the misinfo going around

There absolutely have been MASSIVE TOS updates

Most notably:

1) Specifying no FICTIONAL noncon
2) No "dangerous" kink
3) No DISCUSSING self harm, suicide, or substance abuse unless its "educational"

So what can we DO about it?

#SaveSpeech

1/🧵
Multiple cropped screenshots showing portions of the bsky TOS before and now. Before: "iv. Encouraging self-harm or suicide
v. Depictions of excessive violence, gore, torture, dismemberment, or non-consensual sexual activity". Now: "ii. We do not allow sexual content involving non-consensual activity including synthetic, simulated, illustrated, or animated versions. iv. Do not create, share, or promote sexual content involving realistic risk of death or serious injury. i. Do not share content, methods, instructions, or promotion of self-harm, suicide, eating disorders, and extreme dieting practices.
ii. Do not share methods, instructions, depictions, or promotion of dangerous stunts or abuse of dangerous or controlled substances. 5. Protected Expression
B. Support, Recovery, and Mental Health:
i. Personal recovery experiences or survivor stories shared to promote healing and community support rather than encouraging harmful behavior.
ii. Sharing verified mental health resources, crisis prevention".

Thank you! I've been trying to nail down the style I'm going for with HexGen stuff and I think I'm finally hitting it haha

Your officer turns to leave. You follow shortly behind. "I hear there's an opening in counter intel. Tomorrow morning you'll be reporting there for your employment processing."

"Understood, thank you for the opportunity." You both duck into a waiting AV heading back to your new home, HexGen HQ.
mostlysilent.hexgen.systems
Within the span of an hour they had modified your implants and memories to give you an altered version of events, becoming a perfect company asset.

"Again, good work, asset." Your superior officer praises as he unplugs from your port.

"Thank you, sir." You reply, that false resistance faded away.
mostlysilent.hexgen.systems
Eventually someone comes to meet with you, a tall lizard who introduced himself as the head of R&D for HexGen. He gives you a simple offer: join up and expose your contacts, or be handed over to the police.

Full employment by a corp, the best benefits you've ever seen... Of course you agreed.
mostlysilent.hexgen.systems
It was supposed to be a simple job, get in, grab some data, get out. You thought the lack of any real security was suspicious, and the security team that surrounded you the moment you entered the room confirmed those suspicions.

They escorted you out, leaving you waiting in a sterile holding room.
mostlysilent.hexgen.systems
They reach up and jack into that slot behind your ear again. This time, your system is quiet. No intrusion alarms, just a calm feeling before a small progress box appears in your vision.

HexGen Asset Recall Module.

Then, it's like a switch flips in your head. Recent memories begin streaming in.
mostlysilent.hexgen.systems
"They really did a number on you, huh? Let me bring you back up to speed." The security officer approaches while your body screams at you to fight back. You're not being physically restrained any more, but something inside you won't let you fight any more. It must be a virus they put there earlier.
mostlysilent.hexgen.systems
The feelings of confusion and arousal hit at the same time. You try to find the words for a retort, an insult, anything - but part of your mind shuts you down. A whisper in the back of your mind tells you that assets don't talk back to their superiors.

The security officer squints, looking at you.
