Only 4 pitchers have recorded a Pitcher’s Cycle — striking out every batter in the opposing lineup — in the World Series:

Trey Yesavage, 2025 G5
Randy Johnson, 2001 G2
Bob Gibson, 1968 G1
Jesse Barnes, 1921 G6
Trey Yesavage struck out all 9 Dodgers at least once tonight, a feat that Herm Krabbenhoft dubbed a “pitcher’s cycle”

The fact that the PM is able to sit there with a straight face while the other guy rambles on and on is amazing. Dude deserves a recognition for that.

It’s a small thing but it still annoys me every time I hear some say a team are the “World Champs” when they are part of a pro league that operates in a single country with no international competition.

Wildfires burning in the north, citizens displaced and still waiting for financial assistance, tariffs on steel and aluminum recently raised and our premier takes the time to open up sales of American alcohol again…way to stand up for…nothing. So disappointing and yet not surprising.

Mr. Poilievre is lamenting that the main estimates include "half a trillion dollars" of "inflationary" spending.

Seems worth noting that $264.0 billion of the requested $486.9 billion in the estimates is "forecast statutory expenditures," including major transfers to individuals and provinces.

It’s late so things maybe aren’t making sense, however, given the potential upheaval that may be upcoming in the Cons party given Poilievre’s stated intention to stay on, are there any “red” cons who may cross the floor in order to secure a cabinet position in a majority government?

With 95.11% counted in Carleton, Poilievre needs to take 70% of the remaining vote to hold his seat.

What a mind-bending plot twist for a party leader who appeared to be cruising to a 200-seat majority.

By wanting to violate the rights guaranteed to Canadians under the Charter to advance his agenda, Poilievre would set a dangerous precedent — especially at a time when 55 pro-life Conservative candidates are advocating for anti-abortion laws and a rollback of women's reproductive rights.

I gave up testifying to committees last spring. You spend days prepping only to have the meeting hijacked. But there’s other problems as well - you get 5 minutes to discuss a 150 page proposed omnibus bill. And then share an hour with four other speakers. Just send written comments.
