I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I wish the men (RFK Jr, mainly) making these deliberately false statements could experience a colposcopy and cervical biopsy for an HPV-positive abnormal pap, but they will never have to. They are unqualified to speak on the matter.

Flu is no joke. You can still get your vaccine at the pharmacy and you can mask for extra protection.
Flu surges in 45 states as doctor visits reach highest level in nearly 30 years
About 5,000 people have died of the flu so far this season, including 9 children, as the Trump administration pulls back on advice to get kids vaccinated.

If invading a country and capturing its criminal leader is a thing now, who does one talk to about this? Canada? We’re neighbors. Please???? Could you at least annex Maine? I love maple syrup and could learn to love hockey. Thanks for your consideration.

Beautifully written and non-judgmental. My conversations with pregnant people about prenatal screening attempt to convey that there is no “right” or “wrong” choice about screening and the decisions that this screening may lead to. But implicit bias is real, and this first-hand account is powerful.
ESSAY: Having a child with Down syndrome has been an irrational, unprovable good, writes Amy Julia Becker. In a world of increasing mechanization, measurement and merit, people like my daughter can help return us to our humanity.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has stated that the 1918 flu pandemic was caused by a lab virus from vaccine research, a defective influenza vaccine. Let’s analyze what a lie this is. First, in 1918, 107 years ago, virology was in its infancy

Thankful for smart people who use the actual science to debunk the disingenuous claims from those who are attempting to scare women into submission by limiting their reproductive choices.
I know the FDA is putting a black box warning in depo provera. I addressed the data earlier this year. open.substack.com/pub/vajenda/...

Mark your calendars for this Oxford County Democrats Meet n’ Greet. One bonus from the GOP running our country into the ground has been seeing lots of democrat candidates stepping up and inspired to save it. I’m happy to see the focus on our rural communities. #MEpolitics

Not the 60 minutes piece, but an excellent podcast sharing the story of an asylum-seeking family from Russia who were whisked off to Costa Rica by our government. Worth a listen.

This is madness. Even parents who want to do the right thing to protect their children won’t have consistent access to evidence-based guidelines. I used to refer to the CDC website multiple times a week. Since January, I cannot use or trust it. RFK Jr must go. Now.
RFK Jr.’s handpicked anti-vaccine staff at HHS have apparently decided that the CDC will no longer recommend most childhood vaccines.

They will encourage parents to discuss it with doctors instead.

This is going to kill babies, and it will cause the most harm among the most vulnerable.
U.S. plans to stop recommending most childhood vaccines, defer to doctors
The plan, which is not finalized, suggests children get fewer shots and shifts to a model telling parents to consult doctors to make their own vaccine choices.

This here is the real deal: putting the money where their mouths are. I respect artists who are true to their work and mission. I just wish preventing gun violence was not a cause anyone had to champion.
I shouldn’t have to talk about “March Madness” as much as I do. Fck,,, Public Enemy should’ve never had to record that track,,, but here we are America’s nightmare of Domestic Errorism.

We worked with students to write the track and tell their truth. Now we invite students to tell their story.

Voted to let 14 year olds in DC be prosecuted as adults and now to let migrant children be strip-searched, Jared Golden is showing his true colors as he is not running for reelection. If he ever surfaces in politics again, we will not forget his horrendous record. #MEpolitics
Jared Golden isn't even pandering since he's not running for re-election. He just -- it seems -- really, really, really wants middle schoolers to be strip searched by men with histories of sexual abuse.

This is senseless and so sad for the innocent infants who succumbed to a horrible death gasping for air. We recommend a pertussis booster to pregnant people in the third trimester to pass on antibodies to infants and that everyone who comes in contact with the baby be up-to-date. Please
vaccinate!
Another baby has just died of whooping cough in Kentucky, thanks to RFK Jr. and his merry band of anti-vaxxers.

My feeling toward RFK Jr. and the Republican Senators who confirmed him is utter contempt.

Zero vaccines are “injected directly into the bloodstream”

Approved vaccines are:
• Intramuscular
• Subcutaneous
• Intradermal
• Oral
• Intranasal

No approved vaccines are administered intravenously.

Hope that helps 🙃

So many things wrong with this story. The summary is the patient found a tick, had a telehealth consult with the company her insurance contracts with who prescribed a treatment (more about that to come) and also advised an in-person evaluation, which insurance then denied b/c there was no PA.

As a direct primary care physician, I don’t accept insurance, and yet I know how important it is for patients to have affordable healthcare for emergencies and anything beyond the scope of outpatient family medicine. I’m deeply disappointed in Sen Angus King. He screwed us all.
