Mainers - vote NO on question 1. It places restrictions and burdens on absentee voting, which many Mainers use, under the guise of making elections safer. I live in a town of 400 people. Our town clerk knows everyone. Q1 is unnecessary; voter fraud in Maine is almost nonexistent. #MEpolitics
Reminder that any political party trying to make it harder to vote is sending a clear message: they can't win on their ideas alone.
As an MIT alum, I get a kick out of seeing MIT in a Teen Vogue article. I support MIT’s decision to reject the compact and have to admit that Teen Vogue has earned a reputation for journalism I would not have assumed based on their name. Don’t judge a magazine by its cover.
College Students and Faculty Resist Trump’s “Free Speech” Funding Scheme
Nine universities across the country were given a test of loyalty from the Trump administration. Now, students are demanding their schools not sign the president’s 10-point compact agreement.

I can tell a lot of things from an EKG. I can diagnose a-fib or another arrhythmia, pick up a heart attack, refer for a pacemaker, or tell if you have an infection around the heart. I cannot tell if someone’s heart is “14 years younger” than their age. I don’t need an EKG to detect BS.
Yeah, his latest email newsletter today made me sick. He is not even blaming both sides, just Democrats.
I want to joint the ukulele band!

Maine friends, vote NO on 1. Know who wants to make it harder for Mainers to vote including by absentee ballot and what the real motivation is. The same machine that packed the Supreme Court for drumpf wants to keep Collins in power with Question 1. Follow the money.

Leonard Leo’s network is bankrolling the main donor behind a ballot initiative in Maine to limit absentee voting & impose voter ID requirements.

“I hope you know that this will go down on your permanent record….”
How sad for students and families in those districts that do not value and protect all of their students and instead choose hate and discrimination toward and small and vulnerable group that does not deserve to have become the epicenter of manufactured rage.
That’s exactly what I thought when I saw it. We feel safe in Maine but it is only a matter of time with how quickly this violence and hatred are spreading….
He is certainly not redeeming himself to this CD2 voter. His email newsletter always has a poll question at the end that reads like, “Do you support me selling you out so that I can look tough on whatever issue by siding with MAGA instead of using common sense?” I always hit the “no” response.
I love apple cider vinegar, but it is not the cure-all that “influencers” would have us believe. If it makes a patient feel more empowered and invested in their care to chug some apple cider vinegar while working with me on evidence-based treatments, I’m all for it. But it’s not magic…
If you are in Maine, Vote NO on 1. Protect absentee voting and don’t get fooled by the false narrative that it is unsafe.
10/2 Newburgh, Maine resident claims she received stacks of ballots in an Amazon package, but little about the story adds up #maine #MEpolitics
And many more of us got to enjoy this work achievement of yours so I say highlight it!
This shouldn’t happen. This baby was too young to be vaccinated, which is why we recommend a whooping cough booster to pregnant people to pass on antibodies and everyone around the newborn to prevent exposure. Lower vaccination rates mean more chances for babies to get sick and die.
Half a million for a pediatrician? That is a fantasy. Peds are some of the lowest-paid physicians. And 3 years of residency, longer for a specialty, can hardly be considered short-lived, especially when you are graduating with a 6-figure debt and in your late 20s once you finish training.
Yes, and with due respect as a mother and a doctor, what we think is the right thing is not always right. Take for example the demands for antibiotics for viral infections, which are unnecessary and can cause side effects and antibiotic resistance. Gut instinct must be balanced with science.
RFK Jr. and Friends keep repeating that “we need to listen to the mothers” on the topic of vaccines and autism.

But they don’t want to listen to mothers who advocate for gun control or want vaccines to remain accessible to all.

If you didn’t know, Mehmet Oz has a financial stake in the company iHerb which sells: folinic acid supplements (folinic acid = leucovorin)

The lies about Tylenol, autism, and this “treatment” are ALL part of their grift.

ACOG @acog.org · 24d
ACOG reaffirms that acetaminophen is safe for managing pain and fever during pregnancy. No reputable studies support suggestions like those in HHS’s recent announcement linking acetaminophen use in pregnancy to autism; in fact, high-quality studies show no such risk. https://bit.ly/47Wxc59

This is beyond bad. Between the horrendous budget that guts Medicaid (thanks again @golden.house.gov for falling in line with MAGA rather than showing any fortitude) and now this EO, expect more immediate closures of rural hospitals in Maine, or at least cutting essential services. #MElolitics
The H-1B visa EO is yet another kick to our struggling healthcare systems. Eastern Maine Medical Center, for instance, has roughly 120 H-1B employees at any given time. Under the new order, that's a $12M per year fee just to remain staffed at current levels.
