Senator Susan Collins was one
of the top 3 recipients of campaign cash from Palantir executives in the 2024 election cycle.

Palantir is the company that won contracts to let ICE build a database on protesters.

If you're a Mainer calling Collins, maybe add that her staff shouldn't be arguing with a constituent. Or calling them a fucking bitch.

"We refuse to be intimidated by these threats, and we reject their unlawful demands that infringe on Minnesota’s fundamental sovereignty. My fellow attorneys general and I will continue to stand firm in defense of the rule of law and Americans’ rights.”
The Trump admin is relentless in its quest to undermine our right to vote.

Pam Bondi's attempt to seize voter rolls in Minnesota is just an example. Her demands are coercive and unlawful—and should not fly under the radar.

Collins' "ICE is out of Maine" publicity stunt gave her optics in order to vote for the funding package. More negotiations and another vote are expected by tomorrow to avoid shutdown. Now is the time to 📣KEEP UP PRESSURE📣 on both her and King.

@5calls.org
The massive government funding package just failed badly in the Senate, 45-55.

Needed 60.

Zero Democrats voted for it.

SEVEN Republicans opposed it:

Budd
Johnson
Lee
Paul
Moody
Rick Scott
Tuberville

(John Thune switched his vote to no for procedural reasons.)

Dems *really* want to fund ICE. These "reforms" are nothingburgers and a sad misunderstanding of negotiation. A few gentle points:

MAINE is wholly within the border zone.
ICE is already the fourth-highest-funded military in the world. These "reforms" would give it even more $.
Dems coalescing around 5 restrictions on ICE, I'm told:

DHS required to cooperate with state probes (big)
CBP stays at border
warrants for arrests
IDs, bodycams
ICE out of churches, schools

"That package unites a lot of Dems," Sen Chris Murphy tells me on the pod:
