Cooking and food related feeds are my favorite things to scroll through at the moment. Oh, I don’t like peas. Or Nazis. I can’t stand them.
I went out for breakfast today and had two fried eggs, medium, on a toasted baguette with tomato, avocado and Swiss cheese. Fruit cup on the side. The eggs were cooked to order and the cantaloupe in my assorted fruit cup was ripe, juicy and delicious. Coffee was plentiful and piping hot.

Here is how it began 9 hours ago. Breakfast casserole with colored peppers, ground sausage, cheese of course, and a layer of the flat round tater tots for the base. And oh, about ten eggs. 🎄🎁🥚🍳🍽️

I certainly would like a vacation. Even a road trip would be fun. Interstate highways, rest stops and endless choices of music or conversation. Or silence and just the conversation in my head.

Steak night was a 50% fail The Martha Stewart baked potatoes were on point as was the roasted whole head of cauliflower. The steak was an absolute fail because I was distracted by drinking a very nice Pinot Noir. Can I not do anything right? Fuck the turkey next week.

Ok guys how did I do tonight? Prime strips dry brined 2 hrs, the. Cast iron skillet 1 minute each side each side then preheated grill on low 4 minutes each side. Side dishes (not shown) garlicky asparagus and garlic bread with salad. I let the meat rest before serving.

I usually don’t post restaurant pics here but this was probably the best version of avocado toast with 2 medium eggs that I’ve ever eaten in my entire life. From a trip to Nashville last weekend. That roasted red pepper chili oil was amazing.

At a restaurant last night overheard a Hispanic family of four - mom, dad, 2 kids talking with their waiter (who I think they knew) about how they never leave home without their passports and the mom pulled 4 US passports out of her purse. Welcome to America. Sad.

So, this is with a new oven. My Samsung had actual flames shooting out of the back of the control panel. But anyway this new LG is running hotter than expected so I'll adjust my cooktime. The #sourdough tastes good though and to be honest I like it extra crusty!

Big ol' pot of red sauce from yesterday. I used a portion of it to make a baked ziti. The ziti had ricotta and mozzarella cheese, no meat. I also made a big batch of fried chicken cutlets. Some were used for chicken parm. I'm eating a little of the leftovers today, even cold its still damn good.
