Once again, I jogged over five miles alone without seeing anything resembling a gang. I’ve gone all the way down Lake Street, through downtown, throug Riverside where many Somalians have settled, no gangs unless you count the old guys who hang out in coffee shops.

Tiny bit of good news: My titers came back positive for measles immunity, meaning my booster worked.
KFF polls show 20% of Americans believe the false claim “getting the measles vaccine is more dangerous than getting measles.” Very false, and I’m relieved.

I’m at home recovering from a Covid booster fever and making calls. My parents are home in Frogtown.

SPD gassed me and hundreds of peaceful protesters after ICE brutalized one of us, claiming it was to get an ambulance through a street that had 4-6 federal vehicles stacked up jamming it. No ambulance was going to be able to get down that street. This was an outrageous use of force.

The first time I saw a doodoo baggie on the walking path I thought, “were they lost? Are they coming back for it once they find a trash can?” I was that naive.
Now I’m the someone who carries the baggie to the trash can.
