I know it’s a pointless hope in ways, but I hope 2026 can be a more thoughtful year. For fandom, for artists. We already have so much shit that threatens art with AI and the industry crumbling. How about we just try some compassion. Whether you love or hate something, just don’t be a jerk about it.❤️

Cartoon characters are just cartoon characters. We take from them what we need and want, but characters are who they are. They have their own journeys. I think sometimes people forget the point of fiction. I’ve seen people let characters dictate their life, as have I. It’s not worth it.

I loved this book. I've read 69 books this year* including Gravity's Rainbow and this was my favorite read.

Just finished "When There Are Wolves Again" by E. J. Swift and I'm still thinking about it. Fierce, gorgeous climate fiction that somehow manages to be genuinely hopeful—not in a naive way, but in a way that feels earned and necessary. This is the kind of story we need right now.
