Atlanta activists helped elect Dem president and two Senators, including first Black Senator in the Deep South since Reconstruction. One of those Senators backed Cop City. When the Dem mayor suppressed votes against it, the other Senator did nothing but write a letter that said nothing.

They forsee the outcome. It's what they want: government punishing and controlling the people they fear and hate. There's a long history of white people supporting that even if it hurts them, too. It's ideology, not stupidity.

I'll stop painting police with a broad brush when "good" cops arrest bad cops. When groups of citizens commit crimes and cover them up with a code of silence we call them criminal gangs. When armed agents of the state do it we give them more money for "training" and insist some of them are good.
