A small thing (and side note, all that Trump does is despicable, and he's a piece of sh*t). Anyway, he owns that the price of beef has gone up, as a marker on par with all the "eggs are too expensive" line. However, from an environmental standpoint, beef should be really expensive, so,silver lining.

One thing that gives me a glimmer of hope is the collective age of senators and the current president...maybe a natural mass die-off will finally help turn the tides.

One of my senators, the smug asshat Ron Johnson, is so proud of himself being the final vote to advance the BBB. What a dick. I called his "always a voicemail" line at the Capitol and let him know where to stuff it, and that he should still vote NO on the final bill (long shot, but I did my part).

I'm so sick of the US being a global asshole again...and not even a smart one, but a belligerent, ignorant, flip-flopping, unprincipled asshole. Also, F*CK christian nationalism. If there even is a god,heaven and hell, these assholes would be going to hell when they have their "rapture". End rant.

Noticing some hand-wringing regarding Israel/Iran, some saying we need to now support action against Iran. The problem: the narrative re: Iran has been so misconstrued, so biased, so under-informed, as to render most of the broader "American" perspective moot.

Green Bay #NOKINGS rally lifted my spirits. Organizing is important not just to convey our message of resistance, but to boost each other's spirits. Autocracy, dictatorships, fascism...one of the goals is to make people feel isolated and powerless. Organizing quickly tamps that despair down.

I never understand the 30% who have such zeal and support for a dictator wanna be destroying projects, institutions, plans, legislation that only function to help or support. What a twisted worldview; what an empty life. Cutting health, arts, environment...these sustain our souls. MAGA is soulless.
