I'll drop everything for this man if he runs
Trump and his cronies can try to dress this up, but it is an illegal act of war to replace Maduro and grab Venezuela's oil for his billionaire buddies.

Trump has no right to take us to war with Venezuela. This is reckless and illegal.

Congress should vote immediately on a War Powers Resolution to stop him.

My entire life, politicians have been sending other people’s kids to die in reckless regime change wars. Enough. No new wars.

I don't think Schumer thinks Israel intentionally kills children
7 out of 10 Harris voters think Israel has committed genocide, YouGov/Economist August 2025
77% of Democrats view Israel negatively, Pew Research
60% of Democrats think Israel intentionally kills children, NYT/Sinema
This is absolutely false and has been polled many, many times.

There's a reason AIPAC itself doesn't cut television ads or mailers that focus on Israel during election season. On the rare occasion they do focus on Israel it's about slapfighting, like against Chris Van Hollen or Greg Casar, two people who can't lose their seats.

I know I've said it a million times now but between Mamdani and Schumer, the median Democratic voter is far closer to the former than the latter on Palestine today. The pro-Israel bloc makes a mistake, on a fundamental level, by raising the salience of the issue.

In fact this will likely just make Mamdani more popular— a foreign country is raging at an American officeholder for defending free speech and the First Amendment.

A country secure in its self image and conceptualization as the "only Jewish state" would not be initiating a diplomatic spat of its own accord with the mayor of New York City over the decision to revoke a useless definition of antisemitism which does not actually work in stifling dissent anyway.

Not really discussed that often but one of the secondary & tertiary reasons Israel's public image has so rapidly declined among the youth in countries like the US, UK and Germany is because of behavior like this.

Petulant, circular, nonsensical, extremely whiny. It doesn't make *Mamdani* look bad.

For 30 years, Republicans have destroyed our constitutional protections to win elections.

Our state is less affordable, less innovative, and less safe because of it.

I’m running for Attorney General to make our government serve the people, not the powerful.

Obama did it with Palestine, but was able to break through in some respects on Iran and DC will never forgive him for that.

And it's a structural problem which exists so constantly and overbearingly, nearly every president comes into office claiming they'll do it differently in MENA and almost in every respect they get drawn into the same stupid tropes that have dominated since 1950. Biden did this with Saudi especially.

So many people, unfortunately across both parties, have spent the last 10 yrs seething and raging over the fact that this guy dared to do something different for once. I seriously don't think anyone will try something like that again anytime soon also even though the public has the appetite for it.

All other things put aside, the fact is that just a few years ago the views Mamdani holds on Palestine would have rendered him persona non grata and now they do not. The establishment has to contend with him. To what extent he then in turn has to contend with the establishment is still undetermined.
U.S. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, who didn't endorse Zohran Mamdani for mayor, is expected to attend his inauguration at City Hall set to start shortly, per a source.

Schumer will be seated on the dais with other top pols.
