Just here trying to stay sane. Immigrant/blue/ Illinois/ CMhomeschooler/my Jesus is pretty woke.
Yes! Little red town of pop. 7800 today:

Princeton IL (pop 7800), in red downstate Illinois. Police was friendly, people were peaceful, and much support from drivers. I (an immigrant) chatted with 2 veterans, a pastor, a British dual citizen, grandmas and kids. We sang the anthem. The sun shone brightly. This is America.

"Why do you need a home library? We have public libraries and ebooks!" - they laughed.
"Oh, I don't know, maybe it'll come handy someday." she answered casually....

How to read the market:
1- How Biden left things
2- When business/investors/people thought Trump was going to be good for the economy
3- Reality.

You'd think this was written in 2025 by a "leftie journalist"
But no, it's from the list of grievances against the king of England, in our declaration of Independence.

Do you own a copy of our founding documents? Declaration, Constitution, Bill of Rights? Do you teach your kids from them? Ya should

1990, Brazil - the year my father lost his engineering small firm because of a "bright economic idea" by a president. We woke up the day after the election to our bank account savings frozen.
I'll tell you how that ended: people went out to the streets en masse, and the dude got impeached in 1992.

Eu não levo meu smartphone pra protesto. Tenho um cellular tipo flip phone dos anos 90, simples que so liga e manda mensagem de texto e nao tem internet.

Pentecostal mom of my kid's friend, sitting next to me in all her "so called christian" glory, knowing full well I'm a Christian (who attends one of those left leaning lutheran churches and voted for her). All her Jesus love on display on this mug she was drinking from:

Quick trip up to Canada to spend some money in the Canadian economy. Went out to eat twice today, kids had their haircuts, bought some groceries, you know, supporting by putting my American dollars where it matters.

Elbows up for this dual citizen here. Imma drive across the border this weekend and fill my mom's pantry. Every dollar spent on canadian products. She is retired and will feel these tariffs. But before that trip, I wave my pro-democracy signs at a protest tonight while the beast speaks.

Took my kids in October, right before the election, having that eerie feeling it'll never be the same again. So glad they got to see DC in it's glory when we had a country to be proud of.

More on persecution of Christians by the United States:
February 28, 2025 at 10:58 PM
I had to sit next to the mother of a friend of my kid today who, knowing who we voted for (we had two large bumper stickers on our car during the election), drank her tea from this mug. And she calls herself a Christian.
