Makes a lot of sense. Definitely would have loved to see Retro's original vision, but I think this is more of Nintendo than anything. Should have been working with Retro from day 1 instead of tasking a studio with 0 Metroid experience

So it sounds like Retro didn’t get to build Prime 4 from the ground up and had to rework a good amount of the scrapped build
That explains a lot of the game’s clunky elements and gives me hope for Prime 5 cause now they’ll be able to start from ground zero with their own vision
