Denying medical assistance to civilians is unacceptable under any circumstances.

Now, on top of that, Israel is taking steps to stop MSF and other NGOs from working in Gaza entirely, and international supplies and staff have been denied entry.

This prevents organizations from providing services and is in breach of Israel's obligations under International Humanitarian Law.

All the while Israel continues to block or delay the entry of vital supplies like tents, tarpaulins and temporary housing.

Our medical teams are treating respiratory infections, wound complications, skin diseases, and babies suffering from severe cold - linked to these harsh living conditions.

Our teams treated 12 wounded patients, including children and elderly people. We call for the protection of civilians, patients and medical facilities.

As of December 31, we haven't received any official decision in regard to the ongoing registration applications.

In 2025 alone, MSF teams:

- handled over 100,000 trauma cases,
- performed 22,700 surgical operations on nearly 10,000 patients,
- carried out almost 800,000 outpatient consultations,
- assisted in more than 10,000 deliveries,
- administered 45,000 vaccinations and more.

Our teams currently work in eight states in Sudan, providing emergency medical care across frontlines based on people’s needs alone.

We are deeply concerned about the alarming pattern of attacks across Darfur and their catastrophic impact on civilians. MSF once again calls on all parties to respect the lives of civilians, humanitarian assistance and medical facilities.

On the same day, the RSF announced its takeover of Abu Qumra and Umbaru. This withdrawal is a precautionary measure intended to allow MSF time to determine the area’s safety for staff and patients.
