The food was ok, not outstanding, but nothing wrong with it.
We did have a great server, which I appreciate as much as good food.

Congrats on the new position!

Those work relationships are important. I still get together for a monthly dinner with colleagues from a job I left 28 years ago. Make the effort to stay in touch.

I met some friends for dinner at True North Diner.
Got all the updates about the people I know irl. Now I'm home so I'm checking on my pocket friends.

I'm listening to Margaret Atwood's memoir and forcing myself to listen, just to get through it.
It's not terrible, although I would say she is meant to write fiction, but she should have hired someone else to read it. Her voice will bore you to tears even at the interesting parts of the book.

For the first little while it can be nice. You can't do chores. Kinda forces you to relax and maybe read a book.
It gets old fast though, especially if electricity is your only heat source.
We're lucky to have a gas fireplace so we can stay warm.

It was. Occasionally I would light up the fire pit and we could sit around the fire drinking hot chocolate after sliding.
Can't slide there anymore because we've planted trees on the hill.

I have a soft spot for I'm just a Bill because I have brother named Bill and every time I hear it I think he is just a Bill.

The branches here are pretty heavy.
Snow has fallen off the power lines but is hanging onto the trees.

They're in a fairly new subdivision. Maybe they put in a line just for that area when it was built. It looks like it's confined to those new streets.

Our backyard is a hill. We used to have the whole neighborhood out there on days like this.

Caring for your aging parent.
Or how about, you're the executor for a family member. What you need to know.
You definitely know how valuable this could be.
