A shame it came to this, now it feels like only 10 % of all players are actually building decks

He gets one more deck to play and I get to play against one more deck, so it's a win-win. 🙂 According to Moxfield it's currently worth about €150 but I suppose there are some proxies in it...

In the 2nd one I tried to disrupt her Tannuk Landfall with my Treefolk & Shamans deck the best I could, but my own game never really got going, and then she happened to draw the Scapeshift and had 13 lands to sacrifice...

.. and his "Theft" deck was stealing the few permanents (both nonland and land) that I got out.

I fared better in the 2nd Archenemy vs 2: Chatterfang, my Fungus deck was beating both of his decks down, but they were too resilient, so time ran out and it was a draw.

.. which wd've meant that he hadn't been able to counter it with Fierce Guardianship

In the 1st Archenemy vs 2 Guff, my Planeswalker deck wasn't really able to do much - my bro's Wizards deck got Patron Wizard out, which meant he had counter protection against most of my spells

Abandoned the 2 v 2 because realized we had misplayed earlier - with bro's Teferi out I wasnt able to cast an instant during his decks' turns. This wd've altered game in my favor because I wd've then cast the instant in response to him casting Teferi instead

Of the other matches I conceded the duel - I played my land destruction deck Klothys but lost the control war because my bro got a land destruction lock with his Ingenious Iconoclast.

It was a quick match though, because the deck we played against, Defeat a God, was brutal, but also pretty lucky. You have to get a good start in these matches in order to have a chance. Even though this mode is quite different to other kinds of Magic it has definitely potential.

... My Crushing Masterstroke. I gained control of all of his nonland permanents until end of turn and could deal him 18 damage, exactly his life total...!

In the 2nd Shared Deck match we played my Obyra (Faeries) deck - my bro got a good start with 3 Devils coming at me (created by a Scheme), and I wasn't able to contain the pressure.

In the 1st Shared Deck match we played my Toxic Ajani (Infect) deck, and I managed to bring my bro down with a surprise attack on my 4th turn, resulting in 11 poison counters for him.

.. Finally on one turn my bro got Paradox Engine and I think he was going to draw the rest of his deck and get any combos in there out, so I conceded

.. My Vanguard card was one that allowed me to sac a permanent to bounce a creature, but it was difficult to know when to use it, since I struggled keeping my permanents on the board.

In the duel with Vanguard I played Inspirit, the interesting 3-color version of my Charge deck, but as often, the game was a struggle against my bro's control - he played his Azami (Wizard) deck and got a wizard that was bouncing my permanents while at same time drawing lots of cards with Azami..
