Oh, 100%. Too much fabric without seams does not hold a shape well at all. A seamed garment looks neater and holds its shape longer.

Pieced sweaters get a bad rap. For certain body types they’re a lot easier to get a good fit. I understand the seaming can be intimidating for some but there are such good video tutorials now. And the seam is what gives it structure.

Also the best tip of all for fitting knits is to forget the bust/chest measurement for determining your size. Measure around your chest at the underarm. This will give you the perfect fit for the shoulder. If it doesn’t fit the shoulders it’ll never look good. Everything can be altered from there.

@aimeeshermakes on IG makes wonderful patterns that fit well and have clear instructions. She gives simple easily understood instructions on getting the best fit and the easiest moist effective ways to make pattern alterations for fit. She even gives a lot of this info away on her IG reels.

But if we can’t win this battle w mountains of evidence obtained over decades than we’ll never stop child sex trafficking. This isn’t a crusade of parties or faith but of right & wrong & basic human rights. People who get rich off the backs of the poor don’t also get to abuse their children.
