Super Typhoon cut across the Philippines and devastated many lives and homes. Of the ones struggling, I am thinking a lot of a local animal shelter that currently needs help. BACH Project PH is based in Negros Occidental and takes in strays from all over the island.

Cucurbita pepo is one of the oldest domesticated species. Over millennia, it has proved astoundingly versatile.

Just as Brassica oleracea gave us broccoli, kale, cabbage, Brussels sprouts etc, C. pepo morphed into the pumpkin, zucchini, delicata, pattypan, acorn, yellow squash and more!

Yesterday, I ran a Trophy Dark (fantasy/horror) game for strangers, which requires making sure everyone at the table feels safe before we start terrorizing their characters.
