The prototype for Regency Counsel is in, and after the first playtest I am so excited for what this game has to offer. Great feedback from the players and a big step forward for my design skills!

NEW: In an about-face, Congressman Seth Magaziner tells us he’s decided not to move to the 2nd Congressional District.

@andy.luckypaper.co An episode idea near the issues you raised in vintage cube: designations. "You have the initiative", "You have the city's blessing", Room doors being "Locked" or "Unlocked". The more you look, the more of these have proliferated in the last few years. Speed being the latest.

I tried to write this post a few times, going between harsh language and a more civil tone. Here goes: This style of art does not belong in a fantasy game. It is tonally dissonant and distracts from the deeper and more meaningful flavor that the card would otherwise present. Magic has lost its way.

The more I see of Aetherdrift, the more I dislike the set. I'm always hyped for new Magic cards, but the cringe level is too high for my tastes. Oddly, it makes me more hyped for Universes Beyond sets with no Loot and a setting that will be treated seriously and with care.

After fielding the fifth call from my brother and his son for rules/instructions on playing #Talisman, I think the game might need an actual rules update.
