I won’t pretend to have hated the trinity of 90s easy listening frat rock bands— Hootie and the Blowfish, Dave Matthews Band, Toad the Wet Sprocket. I won’t even pretend to hate them now; I’ll leave the radio on for any of them.
But wow, they’ve had no long-term legacy for how popular they were.
