idk man if I had just lost my kid to a school shooting and the news cycle was dominated by people loudly mourning the loss of a guy whose life’s work was radicalizing people, largely children, into thinking that’s a cool and normal thing to do while contributing nothing else, I’d probably go insane

Charlie Kirk once said that gun deaths were a worth it to keep the 2nd Amendment so I guess he got what he wanted; although I highly doubt he imagined that one of those deaths would be his own

We don’t owe him sympathy.
We don’t owe his supporters thoughts and prayers.
We don’t have to empathize with agents of our oppressors.

It is weird that the assassination of essentially a celebrity influencer is a bigger deal than the shooting of two top state legislators + their spouses

all i will say about charlie kirk dying is that people like charlie kirk deliberately created a world that reshaped me into a person whose emotional reaction to charlie kirk dying is one i'm not proud of.

Charlie Kirk spent his life‘s work and all of his energy and time targeting out-groups while arguing for a world in which gun massacres would be easy to enact, plentiful, and inevitable, and he became famous and wealthy doing it, and we’re now not supposed to mention that because it’s not polite.

I truly believe one of the biggest brainwashing fallouts we face as a country is how every USian is taught about our inception as rebels violently seceding from oppressors and then firmly discouraged from ever thinking political violence can ever solve anything; foundational cognitive dissonance.
