In fact this *understates* the point here.

Tory policy is not (just) to remove benefits but to remove ILR and deport, exactly like the Farage plan the PM correctly described as racist.
nisreenalwan.bsky.social
“Another part of the plan would limit benefits to people with UK citizenship, removing it even from those who have been in the country for years or even decades and have indefinite leave to remain”

If this is not xenophobia then I don’t know what is.
Sickening.

ICE is the Sturmabteilung of Trumpian fascism, characterised by racial profiling, flagrant lawlessness, and sadistic violence. The fact that Badenoch wants that for us is a shocking illustration of just how extreme and sinister her politics are.

Very possibly no political official in history has made so much corrupt money at a pace like this. Mobutu and Marcos looted a greater share of their countries’ wealth over decades but in absolute terms and in speed, Trump shamelessly puts them to shame.

“.. no modern American president has positioned his family to make so much money while in the White House. Already, since the early days of his reelection campaign, he’s more than doubled his net worth to about $5.4 billion.”

“These memos are not difficult to draft; a competent law student could write one. It wouldn’t be compelling as a matter of law—in fact, it would be legal drivel—but it’s not meant to be compelling. It’s meant to establish conclusively the appearance of lawfulness.”

We have spent a lot of time talking w South Dakota farmers over the past decade.

What has happened to the US soybean-growing business is comparable to Great Depression. Black Plague, etc.

By "what has happened," I mean "what Trump did to them," with these idiotic tariffs.
