Okay, now I’m leaning toward Tricholoma saponicum 😅

Yeah, apparently so! Unimproved grasslands, although this one is more of a mowed mossy grass area in a park setting on campus xD

I think I’ve found my first Pseudotricholoma

Many species of fungi were described long ago with only a short phrase or drawing-no type (reference) specimen!
This #FunDive campaign aims to collect type specimens & sequence DNA to anchor names and stabilize taxonomy. #Biodiversa

Very cool paper!
It is shocking how few forest areas in Europe are not managed www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti...
Map of Europe and their forest use. Very little (1%?) is not managed at all

I couldn’t have done this without the help of my co-authors Björn Lindahl, Roger Finley, Julian Klein, Alf Ekblad and notably, my PhD supervisor, Karina Clemmensen!

❔There were big differences in mycelial ingrowth likely due to a summer drought in the second year of the experiment - it really makes me think about the transience of mycorrhizosphere processes. Nature doesn’t always cooperate with our plans 😉
