Today is International #SignLanguageDay. Did you know there are, at least, 29 sign languages in the European Union? But the Union does not recognise them as official languages.

We join the European Union of the Deaf's call: recognise them and prevent discrimination!

Strong rules and legislation are essential to ensure our rights.

This wave of deregulation risks further marginalising persons with disabilities and regressing on the hard won rights of the past years.

This is why we joined @caneurope.org and 470 other organisations on this strong statement.

Our protection is being sold for profits.

Ahead of Von Der Leyen's 'State of the Union' speech tomorrow, 470 organisations are calling a stop to the EU's drastic deregulation spree on environmental protection, social rights, digital rights and climate policies back many years.
