I like to watch movies and TV a little too much. He/Him. Formerly @sortathatguy elsewhere. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
These film results are fun and slightly unexpected! I don't hate it! #GoldenGlobes

I'm three episodes in PLURIBUS and I'm loving it so far and Rhea Seehorn in it and I'm so happy she's getting her flowers because she is owed big time for BETTER CALL SAUL.

We so rarely get true surprises in who becomes a star. I am enjoying every minute of this, partly because they are too.

Look Hudson and Connor are adorable. That's just a fact. #GoldenGlobes

I'm glad Sinners won that absurd award, but the nominees for Cinematic and Box Office Achievement included one movie that had not yet opened (Avatar) and another that had no reported box office (Kpop DH), so we should note that the prize does not even have the integrity of its own corruption.

Happy to see Michelle Williams actually win something for DYING FOR SEX. Her and Jenny Slate were severely under rewarded for what they did for that show.

When you're watching something but some people around you just can't stop annoyingly talking about nothing at all. Yeah so that's the Golden Globes "announcers" right now. God they suck.

Also, if you haven't done today's NYT Strands puzzle today, [spoiler.....]

Sure seems like Peacock might have done some sort of product placement deal with the NYT for today's puzzle.
Just realized THE TRAITORS and THE PITT are both dropping their season premieres at 9 p.m. ET this evening. Suddenly we're back in the 1990s, when NBC and [insert challenger here] would battle it out on Thursdays.

I know the more you run the better it'll get but these early days of getting back into it feels like absolute hell.

The seemingly top four films of awards season continues apace with the SAG Awards nominations--One Battle, Sinners, Marty Supreme and Hamnet getting ensemble and multiple individual nods. Great to see Elordi, Byrne and Madigan in the mix as well.

Still obsessed with the Heated Rivalry press tour and how it's continuing weeks after the series ended, and while I love Hudson and Connor, I have to say that a very underrated aspect of the tour is François Arnaud showing up stunning everywhere and saying things that are both correct and cunty.

Amanda Seyfried is pretty great in THE TESTAMENT OF ANN LEE. And yet... I think she's better in THE HOUSEMAID? Both are great showcases for her regardless.

This is true and I was the only one on set excited about it (and playing the song on my phone to blank stares)
Just watched the new Knives Out and I think it's really important you know that the scene in the Seminary's Gym is filmed in the same place Rick Astley filmed the music video for Never Gonna Give You Up.

I saw the window tracery and immediately made my friends pause the film so I could tell them.

I like that rewatching HEATED RIVALRY is such a major thing that there's a name for the act: Reheated Rivalry. Cute. Anyways just rewatched the last two episodes again because why not?

In terms of Richard Linklater's cinematic output this year, I think I prefer NOUVELLE VAGUE over BLUE MOON. Just saw the former today and I found it such a breezy watch. And wow at the technique! FYI, I also haven't seen BREATHLESS nor at all well-versed on the French New Wave.

I missed the boat initially but I've now binged all of THE LOWDOWN and it's great! Obviously I should've known the creator of RESERVATION DOGS wouldn't lead me wrong. And Ethan Hawke truly is a wonder and the cast of characters played by this wonderful ensemble make him even better.
