I was off grid for 2 hours and we bombed Iran! I have many thoughts. *guess we might be in a war no one wanted. *guess starting a war is the best way to distract from the unpopularity of current policies. *while everyone is watching this, what other rights will be stolen in the dark of night?etc.

Today I sat with my pup of 13 years and pet him while he slipped out of this world. I know I was lucky to get this last year with him, but I’m still devastated. I feel hollowed out and the world around me a mirage.

I feel like humanity is doomed as a species. For every person trying to sow openness and acceptance there are 2 dozen who use hate to fuel their own selfish wants. It was this way before. It is this way now. It will remain this way tomorrow. We can not purge the evil in other’s blood. I mourn.

Today I realized that although my mother was the first woman in our family to graduate college, I am the first woman in our family to succeed financially and personally without relying on a man to do it. I didn’t set out to do that but I am still proud I won with the hand I was dealt.

This backlash to women wanting equality of relationships in the workplace and at home…evolution is inevitable for survival. Maybe those who are angry will win short term gains through force, but history shows, those who don’t evolve get left behind and are forgotten. Growth = survival of the fittest
