Cargobikelife.com is quickly becoming a central source for all things related to not only cargo bikes, but bikes-for-transportation as a whole.

The website is just a few months old, but already has almost 300 registered users, 272 individual threads, and almost 1000 messages.

Check it out.

We are fortunate enough to have the freedom of choosing how we want to get to our son to school. Bike, light rail, walk, and sometimes even drive.

When given the option, my son prefers to be in front on his shotgun seat versus being strapped to the back on a Yepp seat.
There is a comfy seat on the back of the bike but I guess the view is better from the basket

I’ve really been loving what GCN has been doing with their YouTube platform in discussing road rage, cargo bikes, and motonormativity in their recent videos.

This one, is one of their best “Carspiracy”

Pedestrian bridges have their place, but they often symbolize the dominance of highways and infrastructure that prioritize cars. In some cases, they look amusement park queue lines gone vertical. There is lost opportunity to have a street level experience and connection to your community.

We're told "safety is a shared responsibility," but reckless, distracted motorists make that impossible.

At some point, we must target the design enabling bad behavior, because relying on people to do the right thing isn't working.

I prioritize safety over speed when I’m on a bike. Which means most trips lead me through neighborhoods and that’s perfectly fine with me. But I still advocate for protected bike lanes.

@bikeshopgirl.bsky.social this something I’ve wondered and given your experience. What are some of the biggest challenges with operating a “niche” bike shop? I’ve been thinking about it could take to open on locally.
Bike shops are infrastructure 🚲🔧

Once in a while, something breaks or you have a puncture. For cycling to be a viable transportation option for everyone, bike shops are needed everywhere.

My advice to many small towns looking to increase cycling: Take care of your bike shop. Or work to get one.

A little different than my usual cargo bike content here. But racing mountain bikes is what led me to be car free.

The more and more I think about it, my next bike could very well be ebullitt.
I love my Bullitt because it's so versatile. As long as the goods to carry do not exceed ~200kg it can carry so much more than most smaller cars plus it's way more fun than driving
