A few years ago, I traveled to Muscat, Oman. I had consistently heard great things about Oman from fellow travelers.

All I had was a weekend & I made the most of that 48 hours. ⏳

Some of our Bay Area state legislators are being explicitly racist in the aftermath of the senseless antisemitic attack on Bondi Beach in Australia today.

Posts from Senator Josh Becker and Assemblymember Catherine Stefani:

Happy holidays from @arocaction.bsky.social!

This is the only holiday event I’ve attended this season and it was such a lovely and successful evening. So nice to see so many friends in the room.

Excited about 2026 — let’s go.

A few years ago, I visited the Kingdom of Jordan.

My goal was to experience Petra, a world wonder. The tour I opted into gave me an incredible experience beyond what I expected that showcased the incredible diversity, culture, beauty & historical significance of Jordan. ⬇️

Merry Christmas from Sacramento 🐻🎄

I’ve sat on this op-ed for 8 months and rather than letting it perish and go unread, I am publishing it myself.

My advice to others, also frustrated that mainstream outlets won’t publish their stories or perspective, is to self publish. /5

8 months ago, I wrote an op-ed about anti-Palestinian racism anchored in an incident I experienced on the steps of SF City Hall as I headed to make public comment in support of Arab American Heritage Month.

The op-ed was held in limbo for a few months but never closed out. 🧵

Misdirecting anger by shouting at a 23 year old aide because her boss didn’t show up for a hearing is abusive & inappropriate behavior.

Attempting to spin it as “stern” & “assertive” rather than acknowledging the harm & apologizing is not leadership.

In my latest, I explore how @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social fully embodied his identity while pursuing his agenda of affordability for New York’s working class communities, & why that’s so important for him as a “first” - the first Muslim + South Asian - to serve as Mayor of New York City.

This is truly game changing work that has completely transformed U.S. perception & awareness of Palestine & the Palestinian struggle, especially over the last 2 years during Israel’s genocide in Gaza.

Palestine is freeing us all ✊🏽🇵🇸

I look forward to @theimeu.bsky.social’s luncheon in San Francisco every year.

This year, @ilhanmn.bsky.social & Macklemore were among the honorees. 👏🏽

Thankful to the IMEU for the vital work it’s done towards ensuring Palestinian voices, stories, & narratives are present within U.S. media. 🧵

The reality is that the Noe Valley group chat includes San Francisco elected officials and representatives from JCRC.

And guess what? NONE of those people countered Bliss' genocidal and racist sentiments in the moment.
November 15, 2025 at 5:21 AM
And it's not just Tahlia Bliss' comments at issue - these anti-Palestinian sentiments are pervasive with Zionist organizations like SF JCRC and Zionist community leaders like Tyler Gregory, JCRC’s Executive Director.
November 15, 2025 at 5:21 AM
Yekutiel attended a fundraiser in Tahlia Bliss' home coordinated by BAJA, SF JCRC's political arm, and only disavowed her comments and returned her donation once it became newsworthy.

Standing room only for @saikatforcongress.bsky.social’s Richmond District Town Hall in San Francisco

Vote Saikat for Congress in June 2026!

Insane turnout at @saikatforcongress.bsky.social town hall in the Richmond District today.

The room is packed and people are standing outside to listen to his remarks.

No more genocide apologists in the CA state legislature.

Never forget that Christine Pelosi antagonized protestors as they bravely called for a ceasefire at the CADEM convention in November 2023.

The death toll was already at 15K+ Palestinians:

Republicans telling Democrats they need to be centrist is a massive warning sign about centrism & incrementalism.

Democrats should not let Republicans set their agenda. They tried it in the 2024 election & it failed miserably in addition to being a moral & ethical blunder.

The last thing I did before departing NYC was go check out the ‘Niyū Yūrk’ exhibit at the New York Public Library which chronicles the arrival of Middle Eastern & North African (MENA or SWANA) communities in New York City.

Highly recommend! The exhibit runs through March 2026.

What an amazing time: Zohran Mamdani winning the New York Mayor’s race is a huge moment for the working class and marginalized people in this country.

His decisive victory and service as Mayor will be *transformative* for Muslim Americans and the Palestine solidarity movement.
