Programmers need to stay in their lane when it comes to job titles. “For engineering, it happens to be code” is an insane sentence to read when you work in heavy industrial engineering.
What is the easiest way to look at the output of a team? For engineering, it happens to be code.
So a second-order effect will most certainly be more EMs/teams and orgs running monitoring code-related output (PRs, commits, frequency and many other related) in *automated* ways
