Dec 8th: salted butter caramel. This is not a jam, it is a sauce, and it will not be going on toast. (Also, it's not as good as the stuff I make.)

Dec 7th: pear, mandarin and cinnamon. This is bloody excellent and I am only disappointed that we'll never see it in a normal sized jar.

Yeah, I made the grilled cheese (mix of jarlesberg, comte and cheddar) with cheese sauce and pickles and yeah that was chuffing aces.

Dec 6th: currant and raspberry jelly. Just look at that colour! It's fantastic. Also tastes great - not too sweet or sharp. Definitely redcurrants.

I picture the embassy staff whatsapp group was "this event is going on too long and im a bit drunk, does anybody want to get Elf to make some grilled cheese?" and then there was a pile of thumbs up and then the ambassador got in on it and well there we are.

Dec 5th: pineapple and rum with vanilla. Very sweet, good pineapple hit, the vanilla is hidden by the rum which is a bit much for morning toast.

Me too :) I've already binned the sleeve with the ingredients on.

Not only is it not the little boxes but they've got different jam! I am optimistic that we'll get the blueberry & maple later in the month.

is it a ring mould? because I have been advocating for using ring moulds for steamed puds for years for definitely being cooked through and in less time reasons - surface area to volume - and people look at me like I'm a loon.
