Pretty Penny (1939) captures actress Helen Hayes's iconic riverfront estate in Nyack, New York. The oil on canvas lets the sprawling porch, gabled roofs, and Hudson River light carry the narrative, translating Hayes's wealth and fame into precise architectural symbols.

Pew Research Institute (2023):

• Red State Texas has about 2.1 million undocumented immigrants

• Red State Florida has 1.6 M undocumented immigrants

• Blue State Minnesota has 130,000.

And yet only Minnesota is being occupied by masked thugs over "immigration."

It's *not* about immigration.

We stand together again today to sign an agreement between bipartisan PJM states and the federal government to extend our price cap and save consumers billions.

Governors are leading the way — and together, we'll continue fighting for the 67 million Americans who rely on PJM to keep the lights on.

In Rocks and Houses, Ogunquit (1914), Hopper pits the sharp angles and textures of wooden architecture against timeless, unyielding granite. The contrast creates a visual dialogue between the transience of human effort and the vastness of geological time.

Paris exposed Hopper to Degas’s private interiors—but he stripped away the myth.

In Summer Interior (1909), a woman sits nude on the floor, lit harshly and without allegory. Intimacy becomes psychological, not theatrical.
