‘British self-identity that says “we can’t have nice things like this”, as though it’s “not our way”. I don’t think there is any truth to that: social habits are quickly learned and unlearned. Build a street-dining culture and people will take the seats on offer’.

Citizens once again demonstrating that they want Active Travel, pedestrianised city centres and public transport over the private car. Politicians take note please…. The “noise” does not represent the majority #activetravel #carlightcities #healthycities

TfL to fine firms whose electric bikes block pavements
Such an unnecessary conflict… we hand over 90% of our civic space to the moving & storing of vehicles & expect everyone and everything else to share the rest. Time for #londonboroughs to step up & reallocate space. #activetravel

Switching just 1 trip a day from 🚗 to 🚴 or 🚶‍♂️ = almost 30% less transport CO2 for the ave UK urban resident. If 1 in 5 did this in 🇪🇺 it’d cut emissions from all 🚗 travel in 🇪🇺 by 8%. The potential impact of active travel on CO2 could be huge
