Do emotional support scones come with lashings of jam & cream?

There is a cleaner, open and clearer trajectory when we begin again, in a new way.

I know from experience, the momentum of creating something new. It may be small, but the organic capacity for growth is potent. Only when this is boxed into a disparate system do we see the incongruities.

It takes energy to perpetually challenge and resist the accepted way.

There is of course good intention, there are big hearted people doing wonderful work. Yet there are still containers, inflexible architectures and pervasive top-down ideas about protecting interests that fundamentally infringe on the wellbeing of so many.

At times in previous roles I felt energy become depleted and immense frustrations at the subtext.

All the things that go unspoken.

The implied and overt power bases, hierarchies and dynamics that are so often at odds with humanity and integrity.

I genuinely thought that was an optical illusion

I have 18 years of memories & a community I set up 2 years ago that is so compassionate & lovely. It's so brutal that these decisions are taken & there's no two way dialogue or agency at all :(

It's such a bizarre process with no real explanation to underpin it.

Best wishes right back to you Charlie.

I guess from a systemic pov goodwill is founded on mutual trust & integrity. Also from a personal perspective, goodwill erodes through perpetual fatigue - physical & emotional. We have to be supported to support ourselves & others.

Wintering
is a sacred phase
to rest and slumber.
An earthy reunion,
a recalibration
to a slower
pace that soothes
a weariness and
wraps us up
within its folds.

The liminality
leaves us unmoored,
yet this season
is an incubator
for new beginnings.
The process is a
rite of passage
as we traverse new
territory and go
deep within.
