If I could make only one magic historical edit/change/transformation, I think I’d take away all the funding that ever went to erectile dysfunction and put it towards menopause and I bet that a lot of today’s problems wouldn’t even exist.
I strongly suspect that 80% of people who are so anti medication and being “all natural” are like this in lieu of having a personality and hobbies.

I say this as someone who used to be the most obsessive “all natural” cult member. I was 15. Of course I lacked a personality.

I’m at risk of spraining my eyeballs every time I see people selling shoes on FB Marketplace by showing is the SOLES first. 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️ It’s so common where I live. Who shops for shoes solely based on sole wear? It’s such a time waster. Who are these people? If I were David Sedaris, I’d hate them.

I was just saying this the other day on Bluesky! Funny coincidence, given it’s the first time I’ve given armadillos any thought.

So late but better than never
Today, the UN officially designated Israel’s assault on Gaza as a genocide.

As a party to the Genocide Convention, the U.S. has a legal obligation to obey our own laws, stop weapons sales to Israel, and demand a permanent ceasefire.

End the genocide. Ceasefire now.

Jude Law and Jason Bateman in the same movie? I don’t need a plot, thanks. I’m sold.

Melissa Hortman.

Say her name. This article is from this past summer.

She was killed by a right-wing ideologue who had a hit list of Democratic politicians. He also killed her husband, Mark, and attempted to assassinate MN Rep. John Hoffman and wife Yvette.

Denker: Melissa Hortman’s legacy? Democracy is worth fighting for.
"In times like these ones, it is ever-so-tempting to find refuge in cynicism and nihilism. In a state and culture that praises stoicism, especially among white men, too many have resorted to claims of...

My "high functioning autism" is basically everyone else seeing me as completely normal but maybe just a bit picky/particular... while internally it's me in constant sensory overload, social overload, and fighting against my executive dysfunction to just do stuff...

Anyone else?

@kdlang.bsky.social K.D.! I was so hoping you were on Cameo (even though that seemed highly unlikely) so I could hire you to make my queer Albertan non-binary kiddo’s 20th birthday dream come true. Do you have a fave charity I could donate to? 😁 *bats eyes in lesbian* 😘

It’s so devastating to watch our elders get sucked into propaganda and lose their minds to— what is it ultimately? Fear of change + feeling stupid because they didn’t stay limber and adaptive? I can’t imagine this ever being me but if so, poison me all the way dead.

Armadillos are some of the most nonsense creatures. Like children’s cartoon concepts.

Partner: *startles because my phone is suddenly loud beside her*

Me: “So sorry.”

Her: “It’s fine. If I had a Bejesus, it’s gone now.”

Me: *face screwed up in confusion*

Her: “You scared the Bejesus out of me.”

Me, autistic slow processor: *giggles long time*

It’s better being autistic.

Hear me out:

Is it possible…

that a country that makes it a crime…

to burn their flag… is…

a cult?

May the universe get this to the creators of The Bear:

It’s a perfect show.

The camera work, the colouring—something I wouldn’t normally notice because I’m not in the biz. Gorgeous.

The gaps. The silences. The work we have to do as the audience.

The soundtrack! 🧑‍🍳😘

85% of Gaza is on the brink of death due to starvation. Israel could let aid in at any moment. And some people (like these men tried to do with me on Friday) are still trying to justify this atrocity.

There is no justification. This could stop at any moment. End the blockade now.

I really need the whole internet’s cooperation on this, please:

Can we stop putting Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros’ “Home” on the playlists?

It’s a good song but FFS. It’s been 6 years since the remaster and we were HOME most of that time hearing this on every playlist. ENOUGH!

If you put Greg Kinnear and Amy Poehler in a box and shake them up, you quite literally get Greg Poehler. Not just in name. LOOK AT HIM. Oh my god. I knew Amy had to be his sister without even knowing his name!

I can’t be the first person to ever say all of this exactly this way.

I grew up on PBS, even as a Canadian. Hated their pledge drives interrupting my programming. I had no idea what was going on! 😄 Let’s keep PBS alive!
I can confirm the PBS Passport is a very good deal for $5/month or $2.50/month if you do yearly.

Thousands of hours of top notch content. NOVA is great. The new Ken Burns doc on Leonardo da Vinci is excellent.

There is nothing easier than demobilizing ICE.
They are nothing without their cars. It would be the end to their hit and run tactics. Don't attack the armed men, go after their mobility. Most of them are overweight and poor walkers.

God, I loved Sesame Street as a kid. And for my kids. How else would a Northern Ontario kid in the ‘80s learn to count to ten in Spanish or learn how to say “open window” in ASL?
