A Yellow-bellied Sapsucker (Sphyrapicus varius) and an Eastern Bluebird (Sialia sialis) were standing on a birdbath facing away from each other in Norman, Oklahoma, United States on January 24, 2026. Even though the birdbath had an electric heater, ice and snow had accumulated around the rim.
