Today’s thought: if you have a passport or passport card, start carrying it everywhere, all the time. If you see a person of color being questioned by an ICE agent or other law enforcement, approach and insist that they check your papers, too. We’re all in this together.

I have faced fascism before, in this very country. I was one of 120,000 Japanese Americans summarily rounded up and expelled from our homes at gunpoint, all for the crime of looking like the people who bombed Pearl Harbor.
