Raw vampyric black metal. Regicidal Rococo necrosurf. Antifascist punkened black 'n' roll with hints of 60s psychedelia and classic 80s speed metal.

The best radio show in the multiverse (even though there isn't much crisps content lately). Thank you for playing Necrosferatul and thank you for this sentence in the write up: "sounds like Dick Dale covering The Shads in a dungeon"

Walter de Staplecat, Simpkin IV, Teabag, Balthasar and Benny D Cat take the stage as we meet the college cats of Oxford. And, of course, Magdalen’s Ozymandias. Read on for our photo special. (Includes a cat map.) oxfordclarion.uk/college-cats...
College cats of Oxford
Once upon a time, we featured an image of Magdalen's kitten, Ozymandias, in our newsletter. We figured it might be a gentle contrast to our regular diet of planning and local politics. The grey ball ...

Checking what 1st wave black metal bands are doing these days is a disappointing experience most of the time so I didn't expect much from this 2025 live gig by Destruction. And then it blew my mind. Absolutely brilliant performance! Blackened thrash at its best.

Oxford has the fifth highest number of dirty public toilets according to a new report. York, Bath and Cambridge topped the chart. The report was based on google reviews for public toilets.

This is the first post in what will eventually be a thread of mushrooms I saw on Saturday. Stay tuned. Good morning or whatever time it is when you see this/these.

First up, a species in the genus Chlorociboria. I don't think I've ever gotten such good pics of these.

Since I'm feeling incredibly angry about the state of the scene, I want to channel that into something constructive by shouting out some of the best black metal (and adjacent) albums I've bought this year by people who are nailed-on fash-free:

We need to speak up against hate and bigotry whenever we encounter it. When someone makes unacceptable comments we need to challenge them! Let's make sure it is safe for us but if we can, tell them that their views are not tolerated. They are outsiders and are not welcome as part of the community.

Was any black metal act ever polite enough to say "goodbye" towards the end of their album? I was. At 9:17 on the last track of my new album.

Not No. 1 anymore but I have all 3 of my albums on page one of the vampyric black metal charts so I am a bit like Taylor Swift now.
Do you want to listen to what everyone else is listening to right now?

trivia:

The name of my new album 'The Last Days of Mankind' is borrowed from a satirical play by Austrian writer Karl Kraus. From 1915 on and as a reaction to World War I, Kraus wrote 220 scenes that illustrate the grotesque and unbearable absurdity of war. (1/2)
