I said I'd write a few words about Craig Robertson's much-anticipated Chris Knox bio, which I love.

These are personal reflections on what will likely be the definitive history of a man who changed indie/alt music globally

'Cause, when it all comes down to dust
Can I say that Craig Robertson's bio of Chris Knox is anticipated? It is, and it's arrived.

A new Bilders record is on the horizon, packed with new material and a couple never-released vintage Bilders tunes with the Stu Page and Greig Bainbridge lineup.

An amazing catalogue of music built over the years and a fantastic contribution to music. A big thanks, and sorry to see it's time to call it a day.

Haha, I kinda find it amusing to be honest. But I have my thoughts too, about the whole piece. I really appreciate the comment though, it means a lot.

I made the list, though maybe not in glowing terms.

Te Herenga Waka University Press is having an amazing sale (50% off titles published 1949-2022).
Some of their music books are in this excellent roundup by Andrew Schmidt: www.audioculture.co.nz/articles/new...

Wow, very cool. No idea about that one

Peel played 'Satin Doll' a few times on his shows, in late January 86 and then March on his BFBS show. Tracks from the compilation were played almost every week on his shows for the first four months of that year.

Big auction from the John Peel collection ended today. I had dreams of bidding on two copies of The Chills' Kaleidoscope World comp, but bidding got out of my comfort zone. Here's the test pressing that was up for grabs. Interesting notes from Peel, where 'Satin Doll' is the only track with 3 stars.

I have the one 7” but not sure I’ve ever listened to it, ha. Kinda sorta a Superconductor side project I believe

Excited to have nabbed these Sun City Girls gig posters from a random poster sale on marketplace. One on the right is likely from 1990, left 1991.

This one has been in the works for a while and it’s so great to see that it’ll be published soon.

Craig Robertson’s biography of Chris Knox. NZ pub date is October but I believe North America will be a few months after that.

One oddball storyline out of this draft I like for the Blue Jays is that they must be New Zealand’s favourite baseball team.

Might have to do this just to vote for The Moffs “Another Day In the Sun”
