Moonlit Archive

October 28, 2023. Full Moon Lunar Illumination: 100% — the moon at its most radiant, casting silver clarity across the night.

#moon
"On this night, the Moon hangs in sovereign silence against a velvet-black sky, its surface aglow with ancestral memory. The photograph captures it in exquisite detail—each crater, ridge, and shadow etched like glyphs on a mythic scroll. Near the bottom center, the Tycho crater radiates like a ceremonial seal, its bright rays stretching outward in defiant symmetry, as if proclaiming its ancient impact to the cosmos.

Dark plains—Mare Imbrium, Mare Serenitatis—pool across the lunar face like ink spilled in ritual, their smoothness contrasting the jagged terrain that surrounds them. These maria, remnants of volcanic breath, offer quiet testimony to the Moon’s molten past. The brighter highlands shimmer like bone-white parchment, inscribed with the scars of celestial collisions.

There is no haze, no earthly interference—just the Moon in full clarity, sovereign and unyielding, a mirror to myth and geology alike. It feels less like a satellite and more like a ceremonial ledger, bearing witness to time, impact, and silence." - Microsoft Copilot

Data centers are receiving billions in state tax exemptions.

These centers, many owned by Big Tech giants, are driving up electric bills and sucking up huge amounts of water.

AI is boosting the stock portfolios of the richest Americans while everyone else pays the price.

Republicans are trying to give their rich donors more tax cuts while your health care costs double.
"Republicans shut down the government because they care more about their rich donors' tax cuts than about your health care." Below this, two framed images contrast the financial effects:

Left Frame: Shows a photo of a diverse family of four hugging outdoors. Text above reads "Family of four making $75,000/yr". Text on a green banner at the bottom reads: "pay $3,368 more for health coverage 2026".

Right Frame: Shows a photo of three wealthy individuals, including Mark Zuckerberg. Text above reads "Person making $1 million/yr". Text on a red banner at the bottom reads: "pay $97,000 less in taxes 2027".

Regardless of if you celebrate the Mid-Autumn Moon Festival, the Harvest Moon, or just making it through the day, every night we see is another one our enemies wish we hadn't.

Here's tonight's #FullMoon rising.

I hope if you have some clear skies you can look up and smile tonight. ❤️

On this day in 1929, Graeme Ferguson was born in Toronto.
An experimental filmmaker, he was a co-founder of IMAX. He served as president of IMAX from 1970 to 1990. He was awarded a Special Achievement Genie in 1983 and the Order of Canada in 1992. He died in 2021.
This black-and-white photograph captures IMAX co-founder and cinematographer Graeme Ferguson with gray hair intently peering through the viewfinder of a large IMAX camera mounted on a tripod, adjusting it with one hand. He wears a light-colored jacket and lanyard, set in an outdoor stadium with overhead lights, beams, and a blurred crowd in the background, evoking a 1980s film production scene.

Always! In every election. If you don't vote you're just giving away your voice to the people voting against your needs. Don't ever give away your power.
