Like many bigots, Trump divides Jews up into "good Jews" (those who agree with him and support his ideology) and "bad Jews" (those who don't). He's been doing this for a while, and he's far from alone across the political spectrum, as I wrote back in September: www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archiv...

This was a test of the new system of delivering aid to Gaza.

Much more to come from Chef Jose Andres and his team.

This deserves more attention: Mike Johnson just signaled new openness to a stand-alone vote on aid to Ukraine. This would stick a shiv in Marjorie Taylor Greene and MAGA in a big way.

Here's my effort to unravel what this means and what the prospects are for success:

Mike Johnson Suddenly Seems Ready to Stick a Shiv in MAGA
The House speaker is open to a stand-alone vote on Ukraine aid. Marjorie Taylor Greene isn’t going to like that one bit.

People should be absolutely infuriated by the extreme demands that Republicans are making in exchange for supporting Ukraine aid.

I have some ugly new details for you on what's really going on in these talks. The GOP bad faith is off the charts.

I’m no fancy defense lawyer, but I think calling the judge your “adversary” and accusing him of cheating for getting info from his clerk is *probably* unwise?
Chris Kise, re: the law clerk: “I do feel that … I’m fighting two adversaries. There’s someone else that’s sending you information on a very, very frequent basis … I don’t understand what that is.”

Judge Engoron, sounding incensed: “You’re right—you don’t!”

People are suggesting that maybe Kise is deliberately antagonizing the judge to get him to do unwise things. It’s possible.

And that reminds me of a story I haven’t heard in a long time.

The year is 1997 and I’m a young federal prosecutor.
