i'm on Bluesky for the echo chamber of Good Job With Your Project, and I'm Doing This Thing Now That I Enjoy, and You Got This, and Help Me Out With This Problem I'm Having, and Isn't This Thing Pretty Cool, and Check Out This Thing I Made
refreshing honestly
Projects and Collections in your Workspace are now called… folders. So, the name isn’t exciting, but they’re way more flexible now. You can nest them infinitely, call them what you like, and organize your work exactly how you want.

the rampant callousness and cruelty in ICE’s indiscriminate raids is enraging, but there’s nothing worse than seeing those kids as their parents are ripped away

@andymasley.bsky.social pretty conclusively closes the case on this one. Again, plenty of reasons to be concerned about AI, but water consumption is simply not one of them, like at all.

It used to be so much easier on the internet. You’d have a video of a dramatic chipmunk and everyone would agree it was perfect but then you could add a little lightsaber to him and everyone would go huzzah now the text is even richer

your containment strategy:
- particles wander off course
- plasma is unstable
- operation is intermittent
- sad, boring symmetry
- "baby's first fusion reactor" vibe

my containment strategy:
- intriguing asymmetric design
- stable plasma
- continuous operation
- every particle feels the same force

it’s really fun!
By the way, Edge of Tomorrow is definitely the best sci-fi movie — one of the best movies of any genre — that still too many people don’t know about. Suffered from the start from a bad title, but it’s absolutely fantastic. I’ve watched it SO many times.

Willie Shanks has turned the local dump he manages into a community hub. Known for his humor and creativity, Shanks engages local residents with videos and events that transform his mundane job into a meaningful community role.

At a time when less than a third of American workers feel engaged in their jobs, we could all learn something from Willie Shanks.

💫 In a world seemingly dominated by AI Slop, Apple stands out with a positive example. ✨

Apple TV’s new logo was built with real glass and then captured via camera. The dedication to create something uniquely awesome is astounding. 🤩
