Bi-annual serious post, ‘cos I see a lot of pain on here.

If the world is grinding you down, you gotta shift your focus to what you can be grateful for. Take a moment to appreciate every good thing in your life, no matter how small. Don’t let the ugliness you see on your phone take root inside you.

The photography in this article really feels like The Times are deliberately setting these people up for ridicule. (You can read it without visiting The Times here archive.ph/KZZC1)
An article from The Times: "Meet the young Tories dreaming of a bright blue future". Featuring bizarre portraits of Charles Amos, Rhys Benjamin and Daniel Campbell.

Just beautiful. I’d had many years away from video games when I got a PS3 with RDR. It was a while before I understood the notion of being able to wander off and do what I wanted. I’ll never forget exploring it for the first time.

Yes. I was saying to my mate that in this squad photo you see the green shoots of the good times. Young Kalvin there too!

Ah yes…Steve Evans is the pinpoint!

Sheesh. Two players from this squad have since passed away. Sol Bamba and Marius Žaliūkas. This must be 2013-14.

Notable takeaway from Louis Theroux’s Steve Coogan interview today: Keith Harris would sometimes go home and punch Orville.

Blimey, so many stories in that photo. What I love the most is Berardi’s on-brand black eye 👌🏻

Geek corner: the local carrier of the EFL isn’t very competent and just runs the whole raw game feed from KO -10 to FT+10. But it’s great. I love the ambient shots when the game isn’t in play. You can even hear the conversations in the crowd.

Harrogate v Crewe broadcast to the entirety of the Middle East and North Africa tonight. I say this like I won’t watch

My phone is only for watching 1000c metal balls destroying stuff now.

As a scholar of full-time graphics - which seem to have taken on a wilful level of awfulness in search of engagement - I’ve got a new favourite.

The 1968 radio production of Day Of The Triffids is superb, and does more of the grim stuff that was in the novel and left out of the 1981 (also good) TV version. If you start listening to this, you will be gripped. www.youtube.com/watch?v=itUv...

In defense of Taylor Swift...what's the best 12th album anyone has ever made?

WHO COULD HAVE POSSIBLY ENVISAGED
neilgrayson.bsky.social
Yep, except Arsenal we’ve been in every game. Spurs didn’t like it for big periods today.

Chris Wilder to be replaced by Chris Wilder by Xmas I reckon.

Used to do radio. Absolutely any mention of her triggered absolutely mental texts etc, all finding offence where there was none. We simply stopped back announcing or mentioning her after a time 😄

That ref seemed to let everything go and then nothing 🫠

It’s one of those games you anticipate in this league, I guess. We are competing though. They definitely didn’t enjoy it at points.

Spurs are just better, aren’t they 🤷‍♂️ Some daft mistakes from us, but a fair result.

Yes, it’s brilliant that this competition might be the thing that stretches them too far as well!
