I am here for Everton, New York Giants and some intelligent conversation on the state of the world to offset the sporting gloom

I have ZERO interest in lame grifting
The biggest threat to European culture isn’t Muslims it is is America

We have become steadily more Americanised since WWII

Our societies have got more unequal, more violent and less tolerant as a result of US business practices, politics & culture

I want my country back from undue US influence

Left wing critics of BBC won’t be happy until executives and Governors are in place on merit, free of political sponsors & monetary donors

Right wing critics won’t be happy until BBC is defunded, broken up and sold off to billionaires

See the difference?!

Great thread on the gap in revenue between the ESL6 and the 14. The ESL6 revenue GROWTH is £404m MORE-compared to the 14. The table lies today, it doesn’t year in year out.The scale of the challenge for #EFC and 13
In the last ten years the average growth in revenue of the Big Six and the other 14 clubs is almost identical in percentage terms, but the absolute growth is a whole different ball game, so the gap is at an all-time high of £404m with a multiple of 3.1x.

The gap is really commercial and matchday. #EFC have chance to be towards the top of the 14
The most important driver of the gap between the two groups is commercial income, where the Big Six generate a staggering 8.2x as much as the other 14 clubs, as well as match day revenue, where the multiple is a hefty 5.3x. Broadcasting is "only" 1.6x.

PGMOL officials think they are the show. They need to be put firmly back in their box. Ruining nearly every game every week.

Everton remain fully Everton. The lack of a RB and a reliable striker will haunt us all season. Moyes needs to adapt and others need to perform better.

Bowen always gives Everton fits. Terrific player. Have to dig this one out now. A test of character as much as talent.

Everton need to play with more tempo

West Ham struggle when we speed things up but look more comfortable than us in possession

Had a fun couple of hours in the Museum of Liverpool this lunchtime. The Goodbye to Goodison exhibit is good and worth a look, you've got until next weekend before it goes.

Also enjoyed the other football stuff, some really fun ideas and even the bits on Them weren't too annoying.
