It’s almost impressive that Trump has managed to send America well on its way to being not only an oligarchic plutocracy, but a kakistocracy as well.
It's easy to confuse oligarchy and plutocracy. The former is when you are ruled by the few, the latter is when you are ruled by the rich.
Of course, in oligarchies, those few doing the ruling tend to be wealthy, especially by the time they leave office.

I have faced fascism before, in this very country. I was one of 120,000 Japanese Americans summarily rounded up and expelled from our homes at gunpoint, all for the crime of looking like the people who bombed Pearl Harbor.
