Thanks! Sharing with my local IP attorney to get their take on this. Seems similar to what the city did with the Portland sign at the end of the burnside bridge.

Can you explain further?

I mean, the train is my “if I won a lot of money I’d donate it to fix it” fantasy. Meaning, it would take a lot of money to get that running again due to landslides, etc.

Once it’s in you, it never leaves. Raised in NorCal, lived in LA for 7 years and been gone for 20! I still say the “the” .

Our pizza in Oregon, on average, is probably better quality than what they get in Alabama. I love AL, been there a lot, but let’s not compare apples and oranges.

This reminds me of when I was wondering aloud why no one wanted to adopt my cute fluffy kittens and someone said it was cause the state of the world made people too sad. I mean, what?

It isn’t erasing or excusing bigotry to point out that a bigot did Good Things at a different point in their life.

What it is, is acknowledging that people are complex and multifaceted and we can judge them as whole creatures. The world is not binary. People are not binary.

When I was in my early 20s, dating my future husband, I had given him a haircut. We were poor, sure, but I’d never cut a man’s hair before, so it was pretty rough. We walked outside and some one driving by yelled “you should kill whoever gave you that haircut!” I never cut his hair again.

He really is the best. Anytime there is a purported chance of snow, I only trust what he says.
