Why on earth would anyone need to know how to dial a rotary phone in 2026?

He's doing a bit, right?

Terminally online people really need to stop expecting normal people to respond to things at social media speeds.

Isn't it already illegal? I was under the impression the current CSA laws are along the lines of "indistinguishable from a real child" because they were written to cover photoshop and old school photo tricks.

Or do you mean the companies are currently unaccountable for what users are producing?

I swear this has nothing to do with my incredible laziness and desire to be paid to do nothing.

I watched that last new years and spent months raving about it. It's so good. It's not what you expect at all. Especially with the slightly odd circa 2000's cover art that doesn't really reflect the characters well.

There's a real sense of invulnerability with these people, as if once they tear down the government, they'll rule with impunity like Mr. House in Fallout when the reality is a bit bleaker.

It doesn't even sound like he has a pitch for it, just "it will make money". At the very least he needs to be able to explain what exactly you'd do in a Calvin and Hobbes movie, especially given the intentional blurring of what's real and what's in Calvin's imagination.

Unfortunately that's the example he uses of why he won't do merchandise. It would definitively state if Hobbes is a stuffed animal or a tiger.

The amount of allies who are just bullies who go full throated bigot the second they sense an acceptable target is far too high.

I honestly thought she kicked a cop in a bagel shop" was a euphemism until I clicked the link.

First movie: Actors dragged into a space adventure by a species that doesn't understand fiction.

Second movie: Actors in the same position they were in at the start of the first movie, desperately trying to find a second alien race that doesn't understand fiction and failing.

My first reaction was an obnoxious nerdy "But they end the movie on Earth doing a reboot series, not in space" but now I'm thinking a movie dealing with them trying to do a 2nd reboot series with half the actors gone would be amazing. Like how that Chip & Dale movie was unexpectedly about reboots.

I think because it takes empathy and charisma to be a likeable bad person, whereas someone who only plays heroes is operating on easy mode since the plot is usually doing a lot of heavy lifting for the hero.

I feel like maybe people shouldn't try to outsource interpersonal conflict to a group of people who by definition of being on Reddit advice subs probably lack in person social relationships.

I swear he does his eyebrows that way on purpose.

For starters, the president acknowledged his error and resigned. Nobody doubled down after they saw the plants.

Alas, it is in a different district than hers, because that would have been way too absurd for reality to handle.

So essentially it didn't even last as long as a 30 year mortgage.
