Back in college I took a course on a history of Japan and Asia-- and bullshat my way through my final paper on the Ming Dynasty.

That class ended up being 96% Chinese history btw-- and they didn't even get top billing.

I wrote a 15 page report on heraldic symbolism in medieval armor and weapon design for my art history class the night before it was due (8am class). Made up 90% of it (only found one book for reference) and got an A. GenAI could fucking never.

wrote 20 pages on Faulkner's The Bear four hours before final papers were due on trucker pills and coffee and cigarettes and got an A, fuck you.
You people couldn't hang with real slackers.

AI girlfriends, boyfriends-- folks are straight up marrying their AI 'partners'. It goes well beyond trying to use a chatbot as a therapist.

What's worse is that average folks don't KNOW how bad generative AI is.

I want AI that scans for cancer cells before they develop, not one making trash art.
