This movie really did check every box for me.

Everyone has moved on from the Cracker Barrel discourse, but I just went there and let's just say the peg game is very different now.

Thank you, my heart sank when I first saw the claims but I'm not convinced they're legitimate. It's sad that basically anything that ever happens these days is likely backed by a bot army or cynical brigading.

Trump: "We took the freedom of speech away because that's been through the courts and the courts said you have freedom of speech, but what has happened is when they burn a flag it agitates and irritates crowds."

A few reasons why this is a common experience:

* Rising cost of tuition
* Family responsibilities
* Personal/health emergency
* Insufficient disability accommodations
* Change in priorities

And this is how you know Bruce Harrell is out of touch.

So I was shocked — but hardly surprised

Here's a strategy @jennbudd.bsky.social revealed to me in our conversation on The Left Hook which will be up in a bit.

Chicago law enforcement needs to hold ICE agents accountable for unlawful use of force against residents.

This is perfectly legal.

Let's see MAGA go against the Blue.

I feel the same way from the Google side. I've migrated away from nearly every service so far.

I can’t believe I have to say this, but historically, masked men who kidnap families in the middle of the night are usually not the good guys.

On the other hand, the current state of social media is so depressing.

I met some of my closest friends, my partner of five years, and some cool celebrities all IRL through Instagram. I got jobs on social media when I freelanced, and have learned a lot from a great diversity of people. It's also how I first spoke openly with other queer people in the '00s.

this has got to be the stupidest and most blatantly "unamerican" group of rulers this country has ever had. if you can't win against "goons in the streets, rotting food in the fields, orang is 90 dollars now" then i dont know what to say

Obama doing gay marriage a decade ago doesn't absolve Democrats from present day transphobia, and this critique is both the truth and a pragmatic necessity to understand if they ever want to win again.
audhdylan.bsky.social
I think people have this enlightened Obama era TV show image of Democrats in their heads and turn into feral wolves the second you point out the party's flaws—even if you've always voted Dem and even if the commentary is constructive.
audhdylan.bsky.social
Literally yesterday someone started arguing with me on here about how Democrats would never compromise on trans rights (despite many prominent, recent examples) and it seems—from leaders like Newsom and Buttigieg to the average centrist voter—they absolutely would.
talleststone.bsky.social
I hate to say it but the majority of the country is not going to die on the hill of trans rights. We can’t protect ANY groups if we can’t win a national election, so purity tests only serve to make specific groups feel triumphant. That’s not “erasing” them; it’s long-horizon strategy.
