it's not just plausible, it's essentially a fact for a lot of the country.

CBP is at least as bad as ICE even without the Border Patrol's 100 year history of rape, murder and exploitation. You just rarely saw it unless you lived near the southern border.

The endless quest to make a helicopter (the flying car we've had for decades) that's easier to fly but still harder to fly safely than an airplane. For all those people who want to get a pilot's license to do their daily commute.

and yes i know those people exist.

So like, these transcription devices would be great if they use the old form. Worse than "bad" if they use the new form, because it basically hides its errors by making shit up.

Making obvious errors that can be caught is fine, and if that's their fail case they're good tools/accessibility aids.

The issue with ML transcription's kind of new - the older transcription algos/models were pretty much purely trained to transcribe. They'd get things wrong sometimes.
The current transcription paradigm combines that with LLM to "correct"/format/etc, and that part's prone to hallucination.

I'd add "repeatedly showed they're more interested in serving ads to their Windows userbase than they are in the OS's usability and performance" and "tests system updates on their userbase rather than putting them through proper QC"

they look great. I was always a sucker for the sharp-edged dice that are just not put through the tumbler, come out looking a bit like this but a lot less refined.

gotta be rough putting in those longer numbers when you got non-life-threatening firework-maimed hands

Yup. FreeCAD has its own issues, and Fusion refuses to work on Linux.
My workflow for designing functional stuff to 3d print has become "do the design in FreeCAD if complex or OpenSCAD if simple, then just import it into blender to tweak where tweaking is easy"

i did a playthrough of Metroid Prime 1-3 (emulated, with the fan upscaled textures and all that) using a mouse for aiming and a left-handed VKB flight stick (from my elite:dangerous 2 stick setup) for the rest of the controls.

pretty sure that's some kind of gender but I don't know what. Like me.

(i also have a love/hate relationship with openSCAD)
